| Equity and Access in the Arts*Formerly Cultural Diversity in the Arts* Equity and Access in the Arts invests in a thriving and diverse arts community by supporting Edmonton based artists and collectives from communities that face barriers to access. This includes, but is not limited to, groups whose members are treated differently because of systemic barriers that disadvantage people based on their Indigenous heritage, the colour of their skin, their disabilities, sexual orientation and identity, and/or immigration status. |
June 15 | Connections & Exchanges InitiativesThrough the 2022 Connections & Exchanges Initiatives program, the Edmonton Arts Council will invest in activity and work that productively connects organizations with Edmonton's artists and arts professionals. This will foster the work of those organizations and individuals, in pursuit of cascading, long-term impacts for the cultural ecosystem. Examples of eligible activities include skills development in any arts practice or arts administration field, advancement of ensemble development, community and audience engagement, or creation and revision of artistic work. |
August 1 | Edmonton Artists' Trust Fund (EATF)The Edmonton Artists' Trust Fund (EATF) is a joint partnership of the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation. The fund invests in Edmonton's creative community by supporting Edmonton artists as they create new work, change the direction of their careers, study with a master or renew themselves creatively. |

November 1 | Arts Presentation Fund for COVID RecoveryIn response to the impacts of COVID-19 gathering restrictions on the arts sector, the City of Edmonton allocated funds from the 2022 budget for artists to present and perform their work. Grants will be available to presenters, including arts organizations, festivals, restaurants, community leagues and other live venues for the sole purpose of compensating artists that reside in Edmonton and its neighbouring areas, for performance or presentation in Edmonton. |
December 1 | Operating InvestmentsOperating Investments help organizations fulfill their arts and festival mandates and assist with costs related to the activities of non-profit organizations in pursuit of their mandates and objectives, including general administration and governance. By supporting the capacity of organizations with arts and festival mandates, we invest in the innovation and resilience of the arts and festival ecology as a whole. |
December 1 | Annual Programming GrantProgramming Grants support specific, relevant activity by non-profit organizations that may not need, want, or qualify for an operating investment relationship with the Edmonton Arts Council. Programming Grants are assessed based on the impact of the activity and work on artists, artforms, audiences and communities. The amount of activity and work is a key measurement which influences granting. |
Ongoing | Invent & AdaptThrough the Invent & Adapt program, the EAC invests in organizations that are preparing, planning, and implementing thoughtful and considered change. |
