The Festival Seed Community Investment Grant Program is intended to provide limited assistance, subject to availability of funds, to resident non-profit organizations for the purpose of funding new or emerging festivals.
To be eligible for a Festival Seed Community Investment Grant, an organization must be a non-profit society. Additionally, the main purpose of the event must be the celebration of some theme of interest and appeal to the general public and have predetermined opening and closing dates and run over a sequential number of days. Applicants may be considered for a Festival Seed Community Investment Grant for up to two consecutive years.
The application for the Festival Seed Grant Program is an online form and may be accessed at least one month prior to the deadline - refer to the bottom of this webpage for the link.
The EAC typically provides a Festival Seed Grant Information Session in the month of September prior to the grant deadline. Refer to the e-newsletter EAC Weekly or EAC Workshops for details. If an applicant cannot make the Information Session, they are encouraged to contact Program Officer Mary Jane Kreisel (firstname.lastname@example.org / 780-424-2787 ext. 226) to discuss their applications or set up individual meetings at least two weeks prior to the deadline.
